Aubrey’s baking journey began with her at-home cupcake business, Baking By Blanchette, which she started at 14. Her passion for coffee blossomed during her college years where she worked at several coffee shops learning the in’s and out’s of the business. 

Running a coffee house and bakery is no small feat. Aubrey’s days are a whirlwind of baking, brewing coffee, managing orders, taking inventory, cheering on her amazing team, organizing, cleaning, washing dishes, handling paperwork, and managing social media. 

Aubrey’s credits her success to the support of her family and her amazing team.  Her mom, Trudy, has been a constant presence in her journey, helping Aubrey navigate the challenges of opening a bakery and sacrificing her own time and social life to ensure Aubrey’s dream could become a reality.  Aubrey knows her dream would not be possible without her amazing team. “They are awesome and I appreciate them more than they will ever know.”

Living and owning a business in the community Aubrey grew up in, it is important to her to support her community and numerous local organizations.  Aubrey’s Coffee House & Bakery was recently recognized as York Chamber of Commerces South Berwick Business of the Year Award, for the generosity to the community and promotion of economic growth, stability and improvements of the area.  

At Aubrey’s Coffee House & Bakery, visitors can expect a delightful array of baked goods, sandwiches, breakfast pizza, tempting coffee drinks, as well as a large selection of gluten-free and dairy-free options.  While they are best known for their sweets they also incorporate many healthy options such as a large gluten free salad bar, ready to go Thrive Meals (low carb / low sugar) and Protein Lattes.
