You might recognize Lee Frank from his acclaimed Otis Restaurant in Exeter, NH, or perhaps you've heard the buzz about his recent nod as a 2024 James Beard semifinalist for best chef in the Northeast. Lee’s journey began long before these accolades, back in Los Angeles where, at 15, he fell in love with cooking at a local burger shack. From there, his culinary career took him across the country, honing his skills and nurturing a dream to create a place that serves up his favorites: a cheeseburger with chili fries and a strawberry shake.

Lee Frank’s isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a cornerstone of the community. Lee and his wife Brooke are deeply involved in their community and beyond, giving back through initiatives like Burgers with Benefits. This monthly event donates a portion of sales to local nonprofits such as The Ryan Home Project, My Breast Cancer Support, and Great Bay Services. They also recently partnered with Great Works Chiropractic to provide free lunch for civil servants. They regularly participate in fundraising events such as Plates for Change, an event to raise funds for local charities and nonprofits that provide healthy food to those in need as well as Amy’s Treat Flavors of Love, honoring mothers facing the challenges of cancer.

Lee also mentors aspiring chefs through ProStart NH, a program nurturing culinary talent among high school students. His involvement extends to judging local competitions, including the recent burger showdown—an event close to his heart. It’s clear that for Lee and Brooke Frank, food isn’t just sustenance—it’s a means to support and uplift their community.
